From it’s humble beginnings, the Murjani Group embarked on a bold journey and remains the only Indian group in the world, to have successfully developed, launched and built Major International Designer Lifestyle Brands, including Gloria Vanderbilt and Tommy Hilfiger.
Over the decades, through ground breaking pioneering efforts, the Murjani Group achieved many “Firsts”, such as having launched the First Designer Jean in the World, the First Designer Lifestyle Designer Brand in India, the First Luxury Shopping Mall in India, amongst others.
A 91 YEAR JOURNEY
In 1930, Mr. B.K. Murjani, founded the Murjani Group in Shanghai, China. Over it’s 91 year journey, the Murjani Group has been interwoven with a rich history, through a wide-range of business activities all over the world.
From retail and trading in China during the early years, to substantial manufacturing and sourcing activities in Hong Kong, to being a Global Brand Builder, the Murjani Group has developed into a major force in the field of branded apparel and related consumer products.
OUR BRANDS
The Murjani Group’s 50 year history of Brand Building commenced with its First Brand, Marco Polo, in 1966, culminating in two very sucessussful major global brands, Gloria Vanderbilt and Tommy Hilfiger.
In addition, the Murjani Group also launched various other important international brands in India, including Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Jimmy Choo, FCUK and Calvin Klein.
